Cold Air Does Not Discourage Hundreds of People to Attend Eid Prayers at the Indonesian Embassy in Helsinki
JAKARTA - The cold air in the Finnish capital did not dampen the enthusiasm of hundreds of people to attend the 1447 Hijri Eid al-Fitr Prayer held at the Indonesian Embassy in Helsinki on Friday.
This Eid al-Fitr prayer was held by the Indonesian Embassy in Helsinki in cooperation with the Indonesian Muslim Community Association (IMMI) and was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Finland.
In his remarks, Ambassador Ibnu Wahyutomo emphasized Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr as a momentum to increase the quality of faith and piety.
"The spirit of Eid al-Fitr through social concern plays an important role in strengthening unity and unity, especially for the Indonesian people and diaspora," explained Ambassador Ibnu, launching the statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Helsinki, Friday (20/30).
Acting as the Khatib of the Eid al-Fitr Prayer this time, Musa Alaydrus Ph.D. In his sermon, the imam emphasized that the achieved natural condition is the result of cleansing the heart and self after being forged for a full month in the month of Ramadan.
Indonesian scientists in the field of material science who are now working in Helsinki invite pilgrims to use this natural condition as an important resource in carrying out future activities.
This Eid al-Fitr celebration is the culmination of a series of Ramadan activities in collaboration between the Indonesian Embassy in Helsinki and IMMI.
"This Ramadan, IMMI and the Indonesian Embassy in Helsinki have held 2 activities for Breaking the Fast Together, the Quran Education Park (TPA) and the Ramadan Festival," explained IMMI Chairman Muhammad Wildan Zulfikar.
Although the air temperature is still 5 degrees Celsius, this year's Eid al-Fitr celebration took place warmly and was greeted with enthusiasm by the Indonesian community and diaspora.
The activity, which took place at the Indonesian Embassy in Helsinki, was attended by at least 256 people who came not only from the city of Helsinki, but also from a number of other cities in Finland, including Turku, Tampere, to Oulu which is about 600 km from Helsinki.
The warmth of this Eid is felt even more with the presence of typical Eid dishes that treat the longing for the atmosphere of the Idulfitri celebration in the country.
