Arus Mudik Mulai Landai, One Way Nasional Akan Dicabut 21 Maret
JAKARTA - Head of the National Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri Irjen Agus Suryonugroho said the national one-way homecoming flow for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah will end tomorrow, Saturday, March 21. This plan will be started by conducting an evaluation.
"The report from the Dirlantas of the Metro Jaya Police has also started to level off, tomorrow we will evaluate and we will collaborate with stakeholders, both the Minister of Transportation, the Director of Jasa Marga, including we will report to the National Police Chief. Maybe one way of homecoming will be canceled," Agus told reporters, Friday, March 20.
Agus explained that during the peak of the homecoming flow on March 18-19, 270,000 vehicles were recorded to travel or increase by 4.26 percent.
"Therefore, the national one-way that will be opened on March 18 (tomorrow morning) will be evaluated," he said.
Meanwhile, for the crossing port to the station, said Agus, the condition is quite gentle. "So it's not too crowded but so far it's also safe," he said.
In the future, he said, the National Police will continue to be present to provide a sense of security, including during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
Agus also ensured that until now the security and public order conditions were conducive. "There have been no prominent events," he said.
"The accident has decreased by approximately 4 percent. The fatality of the victim, this is important, this has decreased by 28.9 percent. This is quite good, quite noticeable, and of course this is thanks to the work of all of us, both personnel who are currently still on the road, security posts, integrated posts, including the technologies we use to monitor, flow rather than traffic flow," he concluded.
