IKN State Mosque to Hold First Eid Prayer
JAKARTA - The National Mosque in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), the Capital of Nusantara (IKN) will hold the first congregational Eid al-Fitr prayer on 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah. People can attend to attend the prayer which was held at 06.30 WITA.
"The Eid al-Fitr prayer at the National Mosque is open to the public. We invite people in IKN and its surroundings to attend and carry out the Eid al-Fitr prayer together at the National Mosque," said Special Staff for the Head of the IKN Authority for Public Communications and Spokesperson for the IKN Authority, Troy Pantouw, quoted from an official release, Friday, March 20.
Acting as the imam at the Idulfitri Prayer was Muhammad Abzar Duraesa who is the Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin, Adab, and Dakwah UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda.
Meanwhile, who acted as the imam for the Eid al-Fitr prayer was Ahmad Muzakir, who is a lecturer at the PTIQ Jakarta University.
The reserve imam and imam are Ustadz Aroka Fadli who is a lecturer at STAI Al-Muhajirin Purwakarta.
The implementation of Eid al-Fitr prayers will also be supported by other officers, namely Ustadz M. Rasky Raehan and Ustadz Muhammad Rifki Iksani as bilal and Ustadz Irfan Rosadi as the host.
Troy explained that access to the IKN Toll Road to the IKN State Mosque area will be opened starting at 04.30 WITA. The public is urged to arrive early and follow the instructions of officers in the field.
The IKN Authority also provides parking bags for the vehicles of the pilgrims. The public can park their vehicles in the basement of the National Mosque or if it is full, it will be diverted to the streets around the National Mosque area according to the instructions of the officers in the field.
In addition, the intra-city shuttle bus also serves trips to the National Mosque via stops at ASN 1 Dormitory, ASN 2 Dormitory, ASN 3 Dormitory, ASN 4 Dormitory, HPK 1, HPK 2, and Rest Area.
All routes will transit at the East Sumbu Roundabout before heading to the National Mosque area to facilitate the mobility of worshipers. Bus services for Eid al-Fitr prayers operate from 05.00-09.00 WITA.
Mobility facilities in the form of golf carts are also provided for groups in need, such as the elderly, pregnant women, and people with disabilities, to facilitate access to the location of the prayer.
The implementation of the first Eid al-Fitr prayer at the State Mosque marked the increasing life of religious activities in IKN and became part of the journey of building a social and cultural ecosystem in the new capital of Indonesia.
Through this Idulfitri momentum, the IKN National Mosque is expected to become a unifying space for the community as well as a religious activity center that strengthens the values of brotherhood, togetherness, and spirituality in people's lives.
