Pasar Senen Station Still Crowded with Travelers

Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026, Pasar Senen Station, Central Jakarta, continues to experience a surge in passengers. The surge in passengers for the homecoming on March 18, 2026 until 12.00 noon was recorded at 22,718 passengers. It is predicted that this figure will continue to increase until H-2 Eid. Most people choose today to go to their hometowns because it coincides with the beginning of the holiday together.

Trains are indeed one of the favorite modes of transportation for people to go home. From our observation in the field, people seem enthusiastic about waiting for the train that will transport them to meet their relatives. One of them is Ali, a traveler from Sragen, Central Java who chose to go home by train. For him, going home is not just going home to his hometown, but there is a longing that must be paid off.
