President Prabowo's Disappointed Face, Unproductive Regional Spending, Rp8 Billion for Regional Head's Official Car

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto highlighted the use of regional budgets which were considered not fully productive. Even President Prabowo alluded to the purchase of a regional head's official car with a value of Rp8 billion.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo during a question and answer session with journalists in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, which aired on Thursday, March 19. According to President Prabowo, there are still many basic needs of the community that have not been met, such as the construction of village bridges, but regional budgets are actually used for things that are not a priority.

President Prabowo assessed that the current pattern of regional spending is still not efficient, including in the use of the budget for official facilities.

President Prabowo also emphasized the importance of awareness and responsibility of regional heads in managing public budgets, especially so that they are really used for the benefit of the people.
