Accident on the Pejagan Toll Kills 4 Travelers from Bekasi
JAKARTA - An accident involving a minibus Calya with a bus on the Pejagan-Tegal Toll Road, KM.290 B, Central Java, Thursday, resulted in four people dying.
Head of Traffic Police at Tegal Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bharatungga Dgaruning Pawurimengatakan, the temporary suspicion, the accident was caused by the driver of the Calya car being sleepy.
"The results of the crime scene investigation at the scene did not find any braking marks from the minibus," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 20.
The accident resulted in the condition of the minibus being driven from Bekasi having a hole in the front, while the Agra Mas bus suffered damage to the back.
The victims who died in the accident were the driver of the car, Gunawan (43), Devi Agustina (34), and two children, Nafisah Meisaroh (12) and Narendra Dewan Gaozan (9), all residents of Bekasi, West Java.
Then, a 3-year-old toddler named Nuriel Arshaka Sachiokondisinya kritis dan dievakuasi ke Rumah Sakit Siaga Medika, Pemalang.
The police chief appealed to motorists to be vigilant and careful when driving on toll roads because traffic is currently quite dense and crowded.
"We appeal to vehicle drivers to be careful and alert. If the body is tired, we hope to rest immediately," he said.
