Angkasa Pura Records 6,363 Travelers Arriving at BIM on H-2 Lebaran
KOTA PADANG - Angkasa Pura Indonesia Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) Branch Office, West Sumatra, recorded 6,363 travelers arriving at the local airport on Wednesday (18/3) or H-2 Lebaran 2026.
"For passenger movements, 6,363 passengers arrived and 3,980 passengers departed from the Minangkabau International Airport," said Branch Communication & CSR BIM Feni Lindriany in Padang City, Thursday.
Feni said that the activity of the homecoming flow at the airport in Padang Pariaman Regency continued to increase on H-2 Lebaran 1447 Hijriah. The number of passengers who came was recorded to be more dominant than those who departed.
"On the sixth day, the Lebaran 2026 or H-2 transportation post recorded 36 incoming flights and 36 departing flights," he said.
Cumulatively, from H-7 to H-2 or March 13-18, 2026, the flight activity at BIM showed a significant increase trend. A total of 205 flights arrived and 206 flights departed. Meanwhile, the number of passengers arriving reached 34,149 people and 21,400 people departed.
"Compared to Lebaran 2025, there was an increase of 10.2 percent for incoming flights, and 10.8 percent for outgoing flights," he said.
In terms of composition, passengers arriving at the local airport dominated with a record of 61.5 percent of the total passenger movement, while departing passengers were only 38.5 percent.
"This condition shows that the peak of the homecoming flow has begun to be felt with more people arriving in West Sumatra," he said.
To anticipate the surge in passengers, BIM operates additional flights. On H-2 Eid al-Fitr there are eight additional flights arriving and eight additional flights departing.
