KCIC Provides 653,888 Whoosh Tickets to Meet Eid Mobility

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) provides a total of 653,888 tickets through the Whoosh train service, which operates up to 62 trips per day to accommodate people's mobility during the 2026 Lebaran period.

KCIC Corporate Secretary General Eva Chairunisa said that the preparations were carried out to ensure that the Whoosh journey during the Lebaran transportation period could run safely, comfortably, and smoothly.

"As of March 14, 2026 yesterday, the Whoosh train has been added back to 62 trips per day," Eva said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 19.

The Whoosh Lebaran transportation period lasts for 18 days, namely in the period of March 13-30, 2026.

As of Monday (16/3/2026) at 21.00 WIB, he said the total tickets sold by Whoosh reached 133 thousand tickets for the travel period from March 13, 2026 to March 30, 2026.

Even so, he continued, the number will still continue to increase because ticket sales are still ongoing until the last departure time.

A few weeks ago, Eva said the number of Whoosh trips had been reduced to only 42 due to the work of moving high voltage aerial cable (SUTT) that crossed the Whoosh line.

However, welcoming the 2026 Lebaran transportation period, KCIC increased operational and service preparations for Whoosh passengers, including one of them the number of trips.

He predicts that the number of Whoosh passengers during the 2026 Lebaran transportation will increase by about 4 percent compared to the 2025 Lebaran transportation.

Along with the trend of the number of Whoosh passengers growing year by year, he said, the potential for a daily passenger surge is also expected to increase from around 23 thousand passengers per day on the 2025 Eid transport to around 25 thousand passengers per day on the 2026 Eid transport.

With the return of normal operations to 62 trips, KCIC noted the first and last departure schedule of Whoosh back to normal.

From Halim Station, Jakarta, the first trip departs at 06.25 WIB and the last trip at 21.25 WIB.

Meanwhile, from the Summarecon Tegalluar Station, Cileunyi, West Java, the first trip departs at 06.05 WIB and the last train at 21.05 WIB.

Travel tickets for departures starting March 14, 2026 and onwards can be booked through various official sales channels, such as the Whoosh app, the KCIC official website, and a number of partner applications.
