One Way Sepenggal Applied Urai Traffic Nagreg

BANDUNG - The Bandung City Police (Polresta) in West Java, has intensified traffic engineering efforts in the form of one-way traffic on the Nagreg lane to ease the congestion of vehicle traffic towards the east.

The Head of the Bandung Police, Kombes Aldi Subartono, explained that until 15.15 WIB, the implementation of one-way traffic had been carried out three times in collaboration with various related parties.

"We informed the situation of the Nagreg road at 15.15 WIB. We, the Bandung Police, collaborated with the West Java Police and Dishub to carry out one-way traffic," he said as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 19.

The traffic engineering efforts have been implemented from the Limbangan area which is the legal area of the Garut Police to the legal area of the Bandung Police in Nagreg.

"Today we have carried out a total of three times," he said.

According to him, the traffic engineering step is considered effective in facilitating the flow of vehicles heading towards Limbangan and Garut.

"Alhamdulillah, this CBone-waysepenggal is very effective and the congestion is resolved," he said.

The Public Relations Officer of the Bandung Regency Transportation Office, Eric A. Prabowo, explained that the average number of vehicles passing through reached around seven thousand vehicles per hour today.

He said that the traffic engineering efforts carried out by the joint team were able to maintain the smooth flow of vehicles even though the volume continued to increase.

"We see that the traffic count is very high, but the traffic density in the Nagreg area can be said to be smooth. Only a few times there is a jolt, even that is because of the engineering process to open and close the flow," he explained.

The Bandung Regency Transportation Office also said that the volume of vehicles passing until 14.00 WIB reached 98,010 vehicles or about 71 percent of the total 24-hour vehicles the previous day which touched 137,032 vehicles.

If calculated since H-7 Lebaran, the total vehicles that have crossed the Nagreg line to date have reached 497,584 units, dominated by the direction of the east, such as Garut, Tasikmalaya, and Central Java.
