JAKARTA - The Office of the Regional Ministry of Religion of DKI Jakarta has identified six observation locations for the determination of 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah/2026 Masehi in the capital city of Jakarta.

The Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Ministry of Religion, Adib, said that the observation was carried out today starting at 15.00 WIB.

"The Rukyatul Hilal in DKI is carried out in six locations in cooperation with all Islamic organizations and related institutions," said Adib as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 19.

The six locations are on the 7th floor of the East Jakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion, the Hasyim Asyaridi Mosque in West Jakarta and the Musari'in Basmoldi Mosque in West Jakarta.

Then, the JIC Grand Mosque in North Jakarta, the Falak Pondok Labu House in South Jakarta and Karya/Pramuka Island in the Thousand Islands.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) said that the observation of the hilal of 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah was carried out in a total of 117 locations in Indonesia and the results will be discussed together in the isbat session.

The isbat trial will be attended by various parties, including representatives of friendly ambassadors, the Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR, the Supreme Court, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG).

Then, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Bosscha Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB), Planetarium, experts in astronomy from Islamic community organizations and members of the Hisab Rukyat Team of the Ministry of Religion.

The determination of 1 Syawal 1447 H will wait for the report of the results of rukyatul hilal from all regions which will then be discussed in the isbat session.
