Jasa Marga Urges Travelers to Use One e-Toll Card, Here's the Reason
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. appeals to toll road users or travelers to use one electronic money card (e-toll) when transacting, especially on sections with a closed system.
The appeal applies to transactions when tapping at the toll gate (GT) both entering and exiting, such as on the Cipularang Toll Road, Padaleunyi and JORR II Toll Road.
"The electronic card is used when tapping in and out of GT," said Senior General Manager of Jasamarga Metropolitan Widiyatmiko Nursejati in an official statement, Thursday, March 19.
In addition, road users are also asked to prepare for the journey by ensuring that the vehicle is in good condition, the driver is in good condition, and the fuel and e-toll balance are sufficient.
On H-3 of the Idulfitri holiday 1447 Hijriah or Wednesday, March 18, the Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division (JMT) noted that the traffic volume leaving Jabodetabek to Merak and Puncak Bogor via GT Cikupa and GT Ciawi 1 reached 94,561 vehicles.
The number increased by 16.54 percent compared to the normal condition of 81,140 vehicles.
In detail, the traffic volume in the GT Cikupa direction of Merak was recorded at 49,913 vehicles or an increase of 4.32 percent from the normal condition of 47,847 vehicles.
Meanwhile, the traffic volume at GT Ciawi 1 direction Puncak Bogor reached 44,648 vehicles, an increase of 34.11 percent compared to the normal condition of 33,293 vehicles.
In the West Java region, the traffic volume to Bandung or Rancaekek and its surroundings was recorded at 76,460 vehicles, up 15.26 percent compared to normal conditions of 66,336 vehicles.
Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Bandung and Rancaekek to Jakarta via GT were recorded as many as 56,257 vehicles, or down 2.16 percent compared to normal conditions of 57,499 vehicles.
Furthermore, the volume of traffic to Rancaekek, Garut and its surroundings through GT Cileunyi was recorded as 44,852 vehicles, an increase of 37.87 percent from the normal condition of 32,533 vehicles.
Meanwhile, the traffic volume from the opposite direction to Jakarta via GT Cileunyi reached 29,584 vehicles, or an increase of 2.96 percent compared to normal conditions of 28,734 vehicles.
Meanwhile, the traffic volume to Bandung City through GT Pasteur was recorded at 31,608 vehicles, down 6.49 percent compared to normal conditions of 33,803 vehicles.
Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Bandung City to Jakarta via GT Pasteur were recorded as 26,673 vehicles, 7.27 percent lower than the normal condition of 28,765 vehicles.
Jasa Marga predicts that vehicle volume in the Bandung and Jabodetabek areas will still increase on Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, as travel for tourism and social gatherings increases.
"The public is urged to prepare themselves before traveling by ensuring that the vehicle is ready to travel, the driver is in good condition, paying attention to the adequacy of fuel and e-toll balance for travel convenience," he added.
