55.572 Vehicles Cross Gending-Situbondo Toll Road to H-3 Lebaran 2026

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. recorded that as many as 55,572 vehicles crossed the Probolinggo-Situbondo-Banyuwangi (Prosiwangi) Functional Toll Road Segment Gending-West Situbondo during the Lebaran homecoming period from Saturday, March 14, 2026 to Wednesday, March 18.

Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono explained that the 50-kilometer functional lane was opened in the period from March 14-29, 2026 (for 16 days). The functional lane is operated in two directions with operating hours from 06.00 WIB to 16.00 WIB for all vehicle categories.

"Jasa Marga notes that the traffic volume on the functional line for five days opened in both directions reached 55,572 vehicles through three toll gates (GT), namely the Kraksaan GT, Paiton GT and West Situbondo GT," said Rivan in an official statement, Thursday, March 19.

Based on Jasa Marga's records, the highest traffic passing through the three GT Prosiwangi Roads occurred on H-3 Lebaran, namely Wednesday, March 18, 2026, with a total of 12,670 vehicles.

This shows the positive response of the community in utilizing this functional route as an alternative to travel during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period.

According to Rivan, the functional lane helps optimize traffic distribution during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period.

"We note that the realization of traffic volume in these two functional lanes shows a positive trend and provides significant benefits in supporting the smooth mobility of the community in the area," he said.

Guan supports the smooth flow of the 2026 Lebaran homecoming on the section, Jasa Marga also alerts officers and supporting facilities, such as standby posts, toilet services and motorized fuel along the functional line.

Various emergency handling facilities and infrastructure have also been prepared to provide an additional sense of security and comfort for road users while crossing the line.

Road users who will cross functional toll roads are urged to follow the instructions of officers in the field and comply with the applicable signs. Including, the maximum speed limit allowed and ensuring that the vehicle is in good condition and ensuring the adequacy of fuel before entering the functional lane.

"The opening of the Gending-Situbondo Barat functional segment is expected to provide direct benefits as an alternative route more efficient for the community to help reduce traffic load on arterial roads and Pantura lines, by distributing vehicle traffic evenly," concluded Rivan.

To ensure that the functional lane can be used safely and comfortably by road users, Jasa Marga continues to coordinate with the police and local government.
