Depok Police Seized 4,066 Grains of Tramadol
DEPOK - The Depok Metro Police Narcotics Unit has uncovered the circulation of G-listed tramadol drugs by confiscating 4,066 pieces during the early to mid-March 2026 period.
Head of the Depok Metro Police Resnarkoba, Kompol Yefta Haruan, said this disclosure was the result of 13 reports received by investigators.
From the case, the police also secured 13 perpetrators involved in the illegal drug distribution network.
"The perpetrators operate in a number of areas in Depok City, including Tajur Halang, Pancoran Mas, Limo, Sukmajaya, Sawangan, and Beji. The modus operandi used is distributing drugs illegally without a license, which has the potential to be misused by the community, especially among teenagers," he said as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 19.
He emphasized that his party was fully committed to eradicating the circulation of G-listed drugs in its jurisdiction.
"The circulation of this G-listed drug is very detrimental and often becomes a trigger for various problems, such as fights, criminal acts, and juvenile delinquency," he explained.
Furthermore, he appealed to the public to play an active role in providing information if they knew of suspicious activities related to the circulation of prohibited drugs.
"With this disclosure, it is hoped that it will be able to reduce the number of illegal drug circulation and create a safe and conducive kamtibmas situation in the Depok City area," he said.
