Arus Mudik on MBZ Flyover Road Congested, Jasa Marga Applies to Open and Close the Route
JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (PT JJC) together with the police have implemented traffic engineering on the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Flyover. Traffic engineering in the form of opening and closing is aimed at reducing vehicle congestion.
GM Operations and Maintenance of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek Desti Anggraeni said that the opening and closing of the MBZ access was carried out on a situational basis on the road to Cikampek. Traffic engineering was implemented from 22.24 WIB last night until this morning.
"Until now, traffic engineering is open and closed on a situational basis at the discretion of the police on the access to the MBZ Layang section, namely the Jati Asih, Kalimalang and KM 10A accesses," Desti said in a written statement, Thursday, March 19.
Hesti said that traffic engineering was also imposed due to interference in the form of vehicles overheating, running out of fuel, flat tires and other vehicle interference.
In addition, in order to reduce the density at the KM 48 exit of the MBZ flyover, due to the traffic meeting from the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) section.
Desti also appealed to road users to anticipate potential changes in weather, especially rain which can affect visibility and road surface conditions. So, the journey can be safe and comfortable until it reaches the destination.
"PT JJC continues to appeal to road users who pass through the MBZ flyover to always prioritize safety. Road users are expected to ensure that the condition of the driver and vehicle are in good condition, maintain the adequacy of electricity and fuel (BBM)," he concluded.
