Lebaran More Stylish with Elegant Ethnic Fashion
JAKARTA - Chic style with an ethnic touch is now increasingly becoming a choice during Lebaran. Not only presenting a graceful look, the combination of modest clothing with traditional elements also gives a personal and character impression.
Moreover, considering Indonesia with the variety of fabrics it has, we have our own advantages in presenting ethnic-inspired Muslim fashion.
This can be seen in the Ramadan Rhapsody 2026 which entered the fifth day of its implementation. Ethnic touch is the common thread that designers have raised in their collections.
The chairman of Fashion Rhapsody, Ariy Arka, said that ethnic elements were the main strength of Indonesian modest fashion.
"The ethnic touch in the modest collection is a strength, character, and identity as well as the uniqueness of Indonesia with its cultural wealth. The strength of Indonesian modest fashion lies precisely in its cultural idiom, making it different from other countries' modest collections," he said.
On that day, six designers such as Erdan, Rita Batik, 3H, Amoure, Djenggala, and Clue presented collections that not only explored batik motifs, but also combined various Nusantara textile materials. The color game is also soft with the typical sogan feel of batik and earthy and dusty palettes that give an elegant impression.
Ethnic elements in modest fashion itself are reflected in the use of traditional motifs, typical regional textile techniques, to the adaptation of traditional clothing forms into modern designs. This approach not only strengthens cultural identity, but also opens up room for innovation in design.
Ariy Arka added that combining local elements such as weaving patterns with modern trends actually makes clothing more flexible for various occasions.
"The design is fresher, chic, and versatile because it can not only be used on holiday moments but also on other formal or casual events," he explained.
Apart from fashion shows, this event was also enlivened by Maria Calista's performance. The Ramadan Rhapsody event itself is the result of collaboration between APPMI and Pakuwon Mall City Bekasi, which took place on March 4-29, 2026 with the theme "Sanctuary of Ramadan".
