Traveling Home by Electric Car, Before Leaving Jakarta, You Can Charge at 673 SPKLU
JAKARTA - PLN Distribution Parent Unit (UID) Greater Jakarta ensures the readiness of electric vehicle infrastructure to support the smooth Eid homecoming by presenting 673 units of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) which are spread across 375 locations in its work area.
This readiness is strengthened through direct inspections carried out by the General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin to the PLN Gambir SPKLU Center, Bulungan, and Cibubur KM 10.6 Rest Area. This step is taken to ensure that all facilities are in excellent condition and ready to serve electric vehicle users during the homecoming period.
"PLN is committed to providing a safe and comfortable homecoming experience for electric vehicle users. Through the widespread readiness of SPKLU, we ensure that people can travel without worrying about running out of power," said Andy Adcha.
Along with the readiness of the infrastructure, PLN also presents the Spontaneous Homecoming Using Electric Car program which takes place from March 12 to 29, 2026 as a form of appreciation for electric vehicle users.
Through this program, customers can follow the accumulation scheme of energy use (kWh) from charging transactions at SPKLU which is recorded in the PLN Mobile application. A total of 50 customers with the highest accumulated kWh have the opportunity to get cashback up to 100% in the form of EV Points, with a maximum value of up to 3,000,000 EV Points.
"This program is a form of appreciation from PLN to electric vehicle users, as well as encouraging the public to be more confident in switching to clean energy, especially during the Lebaran homecoming momentum," added Andy Adcha.
To make the journey easier, PLN also presents the Road Trip Planner feature on the PLN Mobile application which allows users to plan a trip and find the nearest SPKLU location in real time.
"If there are obstacles in the use of SPKLU, we will activate a 24-hour emergency service through the PLN Contact Center 123 and PLN WhatsApp at the number 087771112123 to ensure that SPKLU can be used optimally," added Andy Adcha.
