Arus Mudik Melonjak, Contraflow Toll Cikampek KM 55-KM 70 Implemented Tonight

JAKARTA - Officers have started implementing contraflow traffic engineering on the Jakarta-Cikampekguna toll road section to maintain the smooth flow of homecoming during the 1447 Hijriah Eid al-Fitr holiday period.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal PT JTT Ria Marlinda Paallo said that contraflow traffic engineering was applied at the discretion of the police.

Contraflow was applied at KM 55 to KM 70 direction Cikampek of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road at 20.43 WIB.

"Currently, the observed traffic volume has increased, so we continue to appeal to Trans Java Toll road users to prioritize safety, and prepare themselves before entering the toll road journey," he said.

Meanwhile, in order to anticipate an increase in traffic volume during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming period, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) supports local one-way traffic engineering from KM 70 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to KM 263 Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road on Tuesday, at 15.18 WIB at the discretion of the police.

The implementation of this traffic engineering is part of a joint effort between the Jasa Marga Group, the police, and the Ministry of Transportation in maintaining the smooth distribution of vehicles towards the East Trans Java, especially during the peak period of homecoming traffic.

JTT has made various operational preparations along the Trans Java route to support the smooth implementation of one-way traffic engineering.

The readiness includes the preparation of signs and traffic cones as support for traffic control schemes, the placement of traffic service officers and security at strategic points, and the optimization of toll gate capacity through the management of substations.

In addition, the JTT also carried out intensive coordination with the police regarding the opening and closing of access, as well as ensuring the readiness of towing services, ambulances, and toll road patrols that are on standby 24 hours a day to maintain the safety and comfort of road users.

Jasamarga ensures the readiness of Rest and Service (TIP) or rest areas, including capacity management through a situational opening-closing mechanism to avoid vehicle congestion in rest areas.
