MBG Supervision is Now More Strict with Kejaksaan Control
JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has collaborated with the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) to tighten supervision of the use of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program budget.
Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana met with Attorney General ST Burhanuddin on Tuesday, March 17, to discuss strengthening cooperation.
After meeting with the Attorney General, Dadan explained that 93 percent of the BGN budget for the implementation of MBG was directly channeled to 25,570 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) throughout Indonesia.
The use of this budget requires close supervision so that it is truly optimized for the nutritional needs of schoolchildren, pregnant women, nursing mothers, toddlers to the elderly.
"Today I was received by the Attorney General, Mr. Burhanuddin, for two things. The first, we want to increase the supervision component, especially for the implementation of MBG in the regions," said Dadan as reported by the Government Communication Agency.
BGN itself has a Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision to oversee the implementation of the MBG program. The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) has also been involved in auditing all budget usage. The public can also monitor the entire process at SPPG.
Supervision is now being strengthened with the involvement of the Attorney General's Office. The Attorney General's Office through the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) has a network down to the villages.
"Now we want to add one component of supervision, namely through all components of the Attorney General's Office that exist in the region. So we were talking about additional supervision mechanisms so that the Attorney General's Office component in the villages will supervise the use of SPPG budgets throughout Indonesia," said Dadan.
With this increasingly tight supervision, Dadan advised the 25,570 SPPGs throughout Indonesia to use the budget received optimally, transparently and accountable. Hopefully, the quality of MBG received by the community is really in accordance with the standards set for nutritional fulfillment.
"So I underline to all partners (SPPG) to use the money in accordance with the existing SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), in accordance with the existing Juknis (Technical Instructions), used as optimally and transparently as possible for the MBG program," he said.
For SPPGs who misuse the budget so as to present MBG of poor quality, Dadan warned that his party would not hesitate to give sanctions in the form of permanent closure. Even legal action.
"We have a mechanism, of course, there is a First Warning Letter, Second Warning Letter, temporary closure. Then we give them the opportunity to improve themselves. If he repeats his violation, it is not impossible to close it permanently. If there is indeed a deviation in the budget and it is proven legally, it is not impossible (legal action)," he concluded.
