Complete Schedule of the 2026 Brazilian MotoGP This Weekend
JAKARTA - The 2026 MotoGP race will be held in Brazil this weekend. It is the second Grand Prix in the race calendar this season from the world's most prestigious motorcycle racing event.
The race in Brazil will take place on March 20-22, 2026 at the Ayrton Senna Circuit, Goiania. This is the first time that Brazil has returned to host the prestigious racing event after being absent for more than two decades.
Goiania, which is in central Brazil, hosted the MotoGP from 1987-1989. The race was then moved to Sao Paulo in 1992 and Rio de Janeiro, which was the last to host from 1995 to 2004.
The race in Brazil will start on Friday, March 20, 2026. The session opens with the First Free Practice or Free Practice 1 (FP1) of Moto3 at 19.00 WIB. The agenda was then followed by FP1 from Moto2 at 20.00 WIB and continued with FP1 of the MotoGP class at 21.05 WIB.
After a short break for lunch, the activity on the track continued at 23.15 WIB for the Moto3 category Practice session. The activity then continued to Practice Moto2 at 00.15 WIB and then MotoGP will face the important Practice for the Second Qualification (Q2) at 01.20 WIB.
The second day session on Saturday, March 21, 2026, will start at 18.40 WIB for the second Free Practice (FP2) session for each class. After that, the agenda continues to the Qualifying session, including the determination of the MotoGP starting grid which starts at 20.50 WIB.
The Sprint Race race was held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 01.00 WIB. This session will take place in 15 laps or rounds at once to provide the first experience of seeing a race in Brazil after a long absence.
The peak of the race then took place on Sunday night Indonesian time. Moto3 started the main race action at 22.00 WIB and Moto2 then followed at 23.15 WIB.
The peak is the main race of the Brazilian MotoGP which starts at 01.00 WIB on Monday, March 23, 2026, in the early hours of WIB. The race will take place in 31 laps (laps).
