KPK reminds that giving traditions at the moment of Eid is not a normalizing gratification event
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded state organizers and state civil servants (ASN) to refuse gifts during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the refusal must be carried out in accordance with the appeal of Circular Letter (SE) Number 2 of 2026 regarding the Prevention and Control of Gratuities Related to Holidays. Do not let the holiday moment become an opportunity to normalize the provision, especially those related to positions and authority.
"The KPK emphasizes that all forms of requests for funds, gifts, or holiday allowances or THR are not only in violation of ethics but are the seeds of corruption," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters through his written statement quoted Tuesday, March 17.
Budi reminded that every state organizer or ASN must follow the circular issued by the KPK. "The tradition of giving each other on the holiday momentum must not be used as gratification," he said.
"Moreover, it aims to influence the independence of state apparatus in carrying out its duties and authority," continued Budi.
Furthermore, Budi said, the KPK had received 32 gratification reports worth Rp. 13.6 million in the category of the eve of the holiday. "Where 14 or about 43.75 percent of the reports are still under review and validation by the KPK," he explained.
"Meanwhile, there are 12 other reports or about 37.5 percent have been distributed in the form of social assistance," he said.
In the future, the KPK hopes that ASN and state organizers can be role models for the community by refusing or not asking for THR. Meanwhile, for reporting, it can be submitted through the online gratification reporting application (GOL) at the link https://gol.kpk.go.id or e-mail pelaporan.gratifikasi@kpk.go.id.
"The demand for funds or gifts, such as THR or other designations, both individuals and institutions to the public, companies, or fellow PN can have implications for corruption," concluded Budi.
