Synchronize Fest 2026 Tunjuk Marishka Soekarna Sebagai Kolaborator Visual Utama

JAKARTA - Synchronize Fest once again confirms its position not only as an annual music event, but also as a cultural movement that consistently combines the harmony of tone with the depth of visual art.

Entering its 11th edition, Synchronize officially tapped multidisciplinary artist Marishka Soekarna as the main visual collaborator.

The selection of Marishka is not without reason; his track record for more than two decades in processing unrest into visual language is considered very in line with the soul of Synchronize Fest which is adaptive and critical of the current situation.

Marishka Soekarna, who is now based in the Netherlands, brings a unique perspective to the festival's canvas through a subtle but symbolic surrealist approach. He is known for skillfully presenting the female body as an intimate space of reflection.

In the context of Synchronize Fest 2026, his works are projected to address social, economic, and political ironies that are currently affecting Indonesian society.

The visuals shown by Marishka often contain contradictory dualisms: it feels cold but familiar, it looks crowded but has a look of emptiness, and it presents a celebratory atmosphere wrapped in a gesture of grief.

Marishka's involvement in the music ecosystem is actually not new. In addition to his work in art galleries such as the Jakarta Biennale to the Autostrada Biennale in Kosovo, he is an active vinyl collector.

Since 2016, he formed the Iramamama selector duo with his brother, who regularly colored various music and radio events. It was his closeness to the audio world that made his visual collaboration with Synchronize Fest feel so organic and alive.

Through Marishka's touch, visitors to Synchronize Fest 2026 will not only be treated to a row of cross-genre performers on stage, but also invited to enter into an imaginative space that evokes personal feelings and narratives.

This collaboration shows how music and fine art as two elements that respond to the dynamics of life, making this festival a powerful medium of communication between artists and their public.

With a background of art practices that cover murals, installations, and videos, Marishka's work is sure to provide a provocative and reflective aesthetic experience for Indonesian music lovers.
