PMB Wave 2 ITPLN Opened, PLN Group Work Link Route Still Available until April 1
JAKARTA - The PLN Technology Institute (ITPLN) has reopened the registration for the 2nd Wave of New Student Admissions (PMB) until April 1, 2026. In this wave, the campus is still opening the PLN Group Work Association track, which is one of the main attractions for prospective students who want to enter the energy and electricity sector.
The registration for the second wave opened since February 20, 2026. This scheme is intended for prospective students who want to study in the field of energy, especially electricity and renewable energy, as well as technology and infrastructure sectors with a global competitiveness orientation.
In this admission, ITPLN again offers an educational path that is connected to industry needs. The PLN Group Job Linkage track is said to provide students with the opportunity to receive training that is relevant to the world of work, including career opportunities in the PLN Group environment after graduation.
In the midst of the registration opening, the President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo also conveyed a motivational message to the ITPLN Student Association. He emphasized that success is not determined solely by intelligence or speed, but by endurance and consistency in facing challenges.
"The winner in life is not the smartest, not the strongest, and not the fastest. The winner is those who, under any circumstances, can survive, be consistent, have wisdom, and keep moving forward," said Darmawan in his statement, Monday, March 16, 2026.
According to Darmawan, life and career journeys are inseparable from complicated problems. Therefore, the ability to remain resilient and wisely solve problems is considered to be a more important resource than just being academically superior.
"But my message is, later your siblings will also understand that the winner of all your siblings is not the smartest, not the clearest, not the strongest, not the fastest. But the winner will be the siblings who have patience, siblings who have endurance," he said.
In addition to cooperation with the PLN Group, ITPLN has also prepared a work bond program with the Indonesian Air Conditioning and Air Conditioning Practitioners Association (APITU). This campus is also exploring a similar scheme with the All Indonesia Electricity Generation Association (APLSI).
ITPLN Iwa Garniwa Rector said that the campus needs to prepare graduates who are able to compete and collaborate at the international level without giving up ethical values and integrity.
"We must be able to compete and collaborate in the international arena, but still adhere to ethical, integrity and national values. ITPLN will consistently provide reinforcement of the new cultural value of ENERGI+, which includes Ethics, Nationalism, Excellence, Responsible, Global, and Innovative," said the Rector of the PLN Technology Institute (ITPLN), Iwa Garniwa.
The ITPLN Job Linkage Program is one of the flagship pathways because it combines academic education, industry training, internships in the PLN Group environment, to competency certification that is tailored to the needs of the workforce. In addition, this campus also opens a number of scholarship schemes to expand access to higher education in the energy sector.
Registration is carried out online through the official ITPLN website. Prospective students are asked to pay attention to the schedule and registration requirements so as not to miss the opportunity to follow the path. There are 13 D3 and S1 degree study programs to choose from, with different tuition fees according to the study program.
ITPLN schedules the file selection on April 3, 2026. This stage is the initial door for prospective students to participate in the PLN Group Job Linkage Program Selection.
The requirements that must be prepared include filling in registration data on the official portal, scanning family cards, scanning ID cards, letters of parental statements and prospective students, scanning semester 1 to 4 reports, birth certificates that can follow up, and registration fees of Rp. 350,000.
ITPLN Marketing and Admissions Manager Andi Dahroni explained that the campus provides various scholarship options. The available schemes range from full and partial scholarships, academic and non-academic achievement scholarships, scholarships for poor students, Hafidz Al-Qur'an scholarships, sports scholarships, children's scholarships for PLN employees, KIP Kuliah, to scholarships for cooperation with BUMN and PLN Group.
In terms of learning, ITPLN implements the SMART 4-4-2 system. This pattern divides the learning process into 40 percent of theory by academic lecturers, 40 percent of problem-based learning with energy industry practitioners, and 20 percent of field experience through guest lectures, industry visits, and direct practice in the electricity and renewable energy sectors.
"With this model, students are not only strong in theory, but also accustomed to facing real problems in the industry," said Andi.
