KAI Starts Construction of "Rusun Nempel Station" in 4 Cities

Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI has started the construction of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) apartment houses (rusun) in four cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Surabaya.

There are a total of 5,484 integrated flats with stations to be built, namely 2,200 at Manggarai Station (Jakarta), 753 units at Kiaracondong Station (Bandung), 1,042 units near Dr. Kariadi Hospital (Semarang), and 1,489 units at Gubeng Station (Surabaya).

The groundbreaking (first stone laying) of the construction of 2,200 TOD flats at Manggarai Station was carried out on Monday, March 16. According to the President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), Bobby Rasyidin, it is targeted that the flats will be completed by the beginning of 2027.

The construction of the apartment is part of the 3 million house program run by the government to provide decent and affordable housing for low-income people.

Bobby revealed that KAI has land of 320 million square meters throughout Indonesia.
