European Union Disbursed 458 Million Euro of Aid Following 2 Conflicts Triggered by Israel

JAKARTA - The European Union (EU) announced the disbursement of humanitarian aid of 458 million euros or around 525 million US dollars for the Middle East.

"In the war-torn Middle East, the European Union is increasing its assistance while others are retreating," said the European Union commissioner responsible for humanitarian crises, Hadja Lahbib, Monday, March 16, quoted by Reuters.

The humanitarian aid was given in the wake of heating up the Middle East such as two conflicts whose triggers are Israeli militarism.

The joint Israeli-United States (US) attack on Iran began on February 28, 2026, shortly after the Israeli military carried out an operation in southern Lebanon.

Both in Iran and Lebanon, Israel's attacks have been condemned by many parties and considered to be in violation of international law.
