UAE Dubai Airport Reopens After Fire Attacked by Drone

JAKARTA - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reopened flight operations to and from Dubai International Airport after a temporary closure due to drone attacks.

"Passengers are advised to check with their airline for the latest information regarding their flights," the Dubai Media Office said on X.

Dubai-based airline Emirates said it had started operations with a limited schedule at 10am local time.

Emirates advised passengers to check their flight status to ensure their flights were operating before heading to the airport.

"Affected customers will receive a cancellation notice and will be informed of the option to rebook," the airline said via its X account.

Previously, a drone hit a fuel tank at Dubai International Airport, resulting in a fire that was eventually extinguished.

The fire did not cause any casualties but several flight routes were diverted from Dubai to Al-Maktoum International Airport.
