Investigate Digital Interactive Board irregularities, the Attorney General's Office checks the Central Java Regional Secretary

SEMARANG - The Central Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) is investigating a case of alleged irregularities in the procurement of digital interactive boards (PID) or "interactive flat panels" (IFP) for the province's digital learning program in 2024.

"There are reports coming in, so we are following up," said Assistant for Special Crimes of the Central Java High Prosecutor's Office, Ade Hermawan, in Semarang, Monday, March 16, reported by ANTARA.

According to him, the investigation was carried out on allegations of irregularities in 13 districts/cities.

He revealed that the initial stage of the examination was carried out on officials at the level of the Central Java Provincial Government.

Ade confirmed the examination of the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Central Java Province, Sumarno.

"We are asking for information regarding the activity, what is the process like," he said.

Furthermore, he said, the examination continued to 13 districts/cities that received the assistance.

Regarding the handling of the case, Ade has not explained in detail the series of events and the 13 areas where the alleged irregularities occurred.

Separately, the Secretary of the Central Java Provincial Government, Sumarno, confirmed that he had been asked for information regarding the investigation of the procurement of the digital interactive board.

"It was confirmed what the financial assistance was like," he said.

According to him, the procurement of digital interactive boards for these schools is not the business of the Central Java Provincial Government.

Sumarno also could not confirm whether there were irregularities in the implementation of the program or not.
