Anomaly! KPK Auction 2 Oppo HP 'Jadul' Worth Rp59.7 Million
JAKARTA - The auction of confiscated goods from corruption held by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has been highlighted by the public. Because, two Oppo mobile phones with a limit price of Rp73 thousand sold for up to Rp59,723 million.
"Yes, there is indeed an anomaly related to the high value of the auction winner," said the Director of Asset Tracking, Evidence Management, and Execution (Labuksi) of the KPK, Mungki Hadipratikto, when confirmed, Monday, March 16.
Even so, Mungki said the two cellphones had not been paid for.
"It has not been informed that it has paid off the remaining auction money," he said.
The last deadline for making payments, he continued, was five days after the auction winner was determined or on March 18. "But because of the national holiday, the payment time becomes March 25, 2026," he said.
Furthermore, Mungki admitted that he did not know who the buyer of the cellphone was. But, he said, the goods were confiscated from the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Tanjung Balai Regency, Yusmada.
Yusmada was involved in a bribery case that ensnared former Tanjung Balai Mayor M. Syahrial. He was a suspect in 2021 and was sentenced to 16 months in prison for being found guilty.
"The Oppo F9 and Oppo black color HP that was auctioned yesterday and sold at a price of Rp. 59 million was confiscated from the Tanjungbalai Regent Yusmada in the M. Syahrial case," he said.
Meanwhile, quoted from Instagram @lelangkpkofficial, a number of items have been auctioned off this March. Among them are cars, motorcycles, branded bags, branded watches, and properties such as land and buildings.
For the cars that were successfully auctioned, one of them was a gray-colored Toyota Innova Zenix which sold for Rp401,504,000. Meanwhile, the limit price is Rp334,504,000.
