JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government prohibits state civil servants (ASN) from using official vehicles for personal use during the national holiday and holy day of rest and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 M.
The ban is contained in the Circular Letter of the Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Number 13/SE/2026 which was issued on March 13, 2026. The circular is addressed to all ASN in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government environment.
In the circular, the Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Regional Government, Uus Kuswanto, emphasized that government vehicles could only be used for official purposes. During the national holiday and joint leave, government vehicles are not allowed to be used for personal activities.
"ASN employees who violate this prohibition will be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations," said Uus Kuswanto in his circular letter, quoted on Monday, March 16.
The DKI Provincial Government explained that the ban applies to all types of official vehicles, both official vehicles and operational vehicles.
ASN is not allowed to use it for personal activities such as homecoming, vacation, or other activities outside of the interests of the service during the holiday period.
This policy refers to Article 13 of the Governor's Regulation Number 119 of 2020 concerning the Management of Government Vehicles. The rules were then updated through Governor's Regulation Number 27 of 2022.
In addition, the issuance of the circular is also a follow-up to the Circular of the Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission Number 2 of 2026 concerning efforts to prevent corruption and control gratification ahead of the holidays.
Through this regulation, the DKI Provincial Government reminds all ASN to use state facilities appropriately according to their provisions, especially during the long holiday period which coincides with the celebration of Nyepi and Idulfitri this year.
