Limbangan Market Activity Causes National Road Traffic Jams
JAKARTA - Activities at the Limbangan Market, Garut Regency, West Java, which is located at the national line crossing, are one of the factors causing traffic jams for vehicle traffic from Bandung to Tasikmalaya and vice versa.
Head of Operations Traffic Unit of Garut Police, Ipda Ade Sulaeman, confirmed that Limbangan area was one of the congestion points on the national road due to market activities and road intersections, so personnel were prepared to anticipate congestion.
"In Limbangan, the placement of personnel and the arrangement of the lane," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 16.
He said a number of police personnel were ready to be on standby to carry out security on the homecoming route so that the flow of vehicle traffic remained smooth.
Even though there are obstacles to vehicle speed in Limbangan, he said, the situation and conditions on the road are still under control and safe for vehicles to cross, which dominate from Bandung to Tasikmalaya.
"Until now it is still safe and under control," he said.
The Limbangan line is the southern line of West Java which connects Bandung Regency with other areas in the east such as Tasikmalaya Regency, Ciamis, Banjarsampai across Central Java Province.
Vehicle traffic flow often stagnates when crossing Limbangan Market, in addition to there being several intersections that add to the speed of the vehicle.
In addition to the Limbangan area, the traffic jam point is also located at the Lewo Market. Then, the Malangbong Market, which also has a road intersection and high mobilization of people and vehicles.
