Commission III of the DPR called the National Police and LPSK after Lebaran to discuss the case of spraying hard water by Kontras activists

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR will call the Indonesian National Police and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) after Eid to discuss the case of water spraying against Kontras activist Andrie Yunus. This is a follow-up to the conclusion of the special meeting of Commission III of the DPR in response to the case.

"Yes, I convey that in point six that we will periodically hold a raker. Raker if with partners, if RDP with the community, and a hearing. So because of the current situation, it has started to break the Eid holiday, it is likely that the nearest raker will be after Eid," said Habiburokhman at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, March 16.

"We will invite the National Police, we will invite related parties, including maybe LPSK as well and Kontras," he continued.

However, Habiburokhman said that if there was an urgent situation regarding the case, Commission III of the DPR would immediately hold a special meeting before the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"But if there is an urgent situation, it is not impossible that we will hold a meeting before the holiday," he said.

"We are now monitoring first, we give space and time to the National Police, the National Police investigators to carry out their duties," added the Gerindra legislator.

The following is the conclusion of the DPR Commission III meeting held today:

1. Commission III of the DPR emphasized that Andrie Yunus must obtain his right to obtain protection, both under national law and international law that has been accepted by the Republic of Indonesia, as well as both as citizens and as defenders of Human Rights (HAM).

2. Commission III of the DPR emphasized that the act of spraying hard water against Mr. Andrie Yunus was a form of resistance or resistance to the commitment of the DPR to protect the rights of the people.

Commission III of the DPR asked the National Police and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) to coordinate and provide special protection to Mr. Andrie Yunus and his family, his organization, and other related parties to ensure security so that there is no subsequent violence against them.

6. Commission III of the DPR will continue to monitor the handling of the case of pouring hard water against Mr. Andrie Yunus to ensure the enforcement of the law, truth and justice for Mr. Andrie Yunus by holding regular working meetings and hearings with related law enforcement officials.
