Police Patrol to Prevent Glass Breaking Modus Theft at Rest Areas
JAKARTA - The Tangerang City Metro Police has stepped up patrols in the Rest Area area to prevent theft by breaking the vehicle's glass while the driver is resting.
"We have instructed security officers to carry out routine patrols to anticipate unwanted incidents such as loss of goods and other crimes," said Metro Tangerang City Police Chief Kombes Raden Muhammad Jauhari, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 16.
Not only that, security officers at the rest area were also invited to increase patrols to prevent other criminal acts because the number of vehicles that stopped around the gas station area increased.
He hopes that the synergy of all parties can maintain the smooth flow of homecoming this year in accordance with the theme "Safe Homecoming, Happy Family", and ensure that people can travel safely and comfortably.
"The National Police is ready to serve the community wherever they are so that this year's homecoming flow runs safely, smoothly and conducive," he said.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Tangerang, Sachrudin, emphasized that the Lebaran momentum must be anticipated with full readiness from the public service and security of the region.
Sachrudin also instructed all sub-district heads and village heads to strengthen synergy with RT/RW and TNI and Polri elements in their respective areas. Environmental monitoring, especially for houses left behind by their owners during the homecoming, is a special concern.
"We want people who go home to feel calm because their living environment is still monitored and safe. Cross-sector coordination must be strengthened, and the response to community reports must be quick," he said.
