KPK Suspects the Provision of THR to Forkopimda Cilacap Regency Initiated by Bupati Auliya Rachman
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman took the initiative to provide holiday allowance (THR) for the Cilacap Regency Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), Central Java.
This was conveyed by the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, when announcing the determination of the suspect, Regent Syamsul, in the extortion case which began with a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Friday, March 13.
According to him, it was not Forkopimda who asked for a THR quota but the gift was an idea of Syamsul which was coordinated with Sadmoko Danardono as the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Cilacap Regency.
"So far, the information we have received, (THR, ed) it is an initiative from Mr. AUL," said Asep in a press conference quoted on Monday, March 16.
Asep explained that the initiative was discussed by Syamsul with Sadmoko on February 26. However, the KPK will later conduct further in-depth research on the initiative.
"On February 26, AUL summoned SAD as the regional secretary. Well, that is also being investigated," he said.
As previously reported, the KPK named Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman along with Sadmoko Danardono as the suspect in the alleged extortion.
The suspicion is that Syamsul asked Sadmoko to collect deposit money for the benefit of the 1447 Hijriah Eid al-Fitr THR to be given to external parties, namely the Cilacap Regency Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) and individuals.
The KPK said that the money collected was targeted to reach Rp750 million from the Rp515 million requirement. Each work unit in the local government must deposit Rp75-100 million.
Syamsul asked for the deposit to be submitted on March 13, 2026. If you have not deposited, the regional apparatus will be billed by the sub-district assistant assisted by the Head of the Satpol PP and the Head of the Cilacap Food Security Service.
As a result of his actions, Syamsul and Sadmoko were then suspected of violating Article 12 letter e and/or Article 12B of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.
