Nagan Raya Police Detains 6 Perpetrators of 1.1 Ton of Palm Oil Thieves

JAKARTA - Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, detained six suspected perpetrators of stealing 1.1 tons of palm oil, which occurred in the plantation area of Alue Bata Village, Tadu Raya District, Nagan Raya Regency.

"The six perpetrators who have the status of suspects, were previously arrested in connection with the alleged crime of stealing palm oil in the plantation area owned by PT Fajar Baizuri in Tadu Raya District," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, AKP Muhammad Rizal to reporters, Sunday, March 15. reported by ANTARA.

He said the detention of the six suspects was carried out by the Criminal General Unit (Pidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Police, after the police had previously carried out an investigation and investigation.

The identities of the suspects are S (37), E (47), S (47), F (31), N (35), and F (29). They come from several areas in Nagan Raya Regency and the surrounding areas.

The suspects are suspected of violating Article 477 paragraph (1) letters e and g of the Criminal Code and Article 476 of the Criminal Code regarding the crime of theft.

AKP Muhammad Rizal said the arrest of the six suspects occurred on Saturday (14/3) last, when the security officers of the PT Fajar Baizuri company who were conducting a routine patrol in the plantation area saw suspicious activities of several people in the oil palm plantation.

Around 03.00 WIB, security officers found two people with initials FR and SA leaving the garden area by riding a motorcycle while carrying six sacks of palm oil.

After being examined, it was found that the stolen rice was allegedly from within the company's garden.

Not long after, officers again secured two other people with initials SW and ED who also carried six sacks of palm oil on a motorcycle.

Based on the information from the perpetrators, there are still two other people suspected of being involved. At around 07.00 WIB, officers again secured the other two perpetrators with the initials NA and FA around the location.

From the incident, officers managed to secure 23 sacks of palm oil with a weight of around 1.1 tons which were suspected to be the result of theft from the company's plantation area.

"The Nagan Raya Police appealed to the public not to take illegal actions, especially stealing plantation results, because it can harm other parties and lead to legal proceedings," said AKP Muhammad Rizal.
