Ahead of Eid, the Head of the Kaltara Police ensures the security of the Airport and Guser Market

TARAKAN - North Kalimantan Police Chief (Kaltara) Inspector General Pol. Djati Wiyoto Abadhy reviewed the security post of Operation Ketupat Kayan 2026 at Juwata Tarakan Airport and Guser Market, Tarakan City, Sunday (15/3/2026).

"This review is to ensure the safety of the Lebaran homecoming flow, especially in the city of Tarakan," said Inspector General Djati accompanied by the head of the Regional Bhayangkari and the ranks of the main officials of the Kaltara Police.

At Juwata Airport, the Police Chief monitored passenger activities in the arrival and departure areas and checked the readiness of security personnel. He also ensured that coordination between the police, TNI, airport officers, and related agencies went well during the homecoming flow. "We want to ensure that all personnel are ready to provide services and security to the public, especially at transportation points that are the main routes for homecoming," he said.

After reviewing the airport, the Police Chief then reviewed the Guser Market which became one of the centers of public activity before Lebaran.

"This review is part of the effort of the Kaltara Police to ensure that the security situation remains conducive during the homecoming and before Eid al-Fitr," said Inspector General Djati.

He also emphasized the importance of increasing patrols and surveillance in market areas to prevent potential security disruptions.

"The presence of the police in the community is expected to provide a sense of security for traders and buyers who are active before Eid al-Fitr," he concluded.
