Police Secure a Number of Motor Gang Flags and Firecrackers in Jakbar

JAKARTA - Members of the West Jakarta Metro Police have disciplined a number of motorcycle gang flags and firecrackers at the Cengkareng Traffic Light and the Relasi Kebon Jeruk Traffic Light, West Jakarta.

A number of the flags were secured by the police during a raid on a convoy of a number of motorcycle gangs that crossed the area. The raid was carried out to follow up on reports of public unrest.

Head of Operations of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Tri Bayu Nugroho said the teenagers were secured when officers carried out security at a number of security posts for Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.

"We secured a number of firecrackers and flag attributes," said AKBP Tri Bayu when confirmed, Sunday, March 15, 2026.

According to him, the activity is called a strong point which is part of the police's preventive efforts to prevent potential disturbances of public security and order, especially during the month of Ramadan and the implementation of Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.

The police also appealed to teenagers and students not to make vehicle convoys and play firecrackers on the highway.

The reason is that these activities can endanger the safety of other road users and disrupt public order. This activity is expected to improve the conducive region.
