From Olive to Dahlia, This Modest Wear Collection is Inspired by the Spirit of Palestinian Women

JAKARTA - Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, not a few designers present various Eid fashion inspirations that not only highlight the beauty of the design, but also are full of meaning.

Muslim fashion collections now often raise stories, cultural values, and humanitarian messages that are conveyed through silhouettes, motifs, and details of clothing.

This can be seen in the Ramadan Rhapsody 2026 event, where one of the fashion collections takes inspiration from the tenacity of Palestinian women. In the show, the works displayed not only highlight aesthetics, but also the spirit of struggle that is the background of the design concept.

Designer Fiorellya by Dwee, Dwi Wahyuni, presents a collection titled Noore for Raya 2026 which is inspired by the persistence of women, especially in Palestine. This collection is also a form of support for the Palestinian people's struggle.

"Olive trees and dahlias are presented in the clothing as a plant representing perseverance. This collection reflects the traces of Muslim women in the past who interpret clothing not only as a means of covering the body, but also as honor, identity, and light," said Dwi Wahyuni.

The inspiration was translated through various design details, ranging from silhouettes with modified crown-shaped sleeves to the use of materials such as floral-motif silk, viscose, lycra, and tulle. In addition, flower crown and foliage-shaped fabric pieces are combined with beads and crystals to form olive stem details that strengthen the concept of the Noore collection.

According to Dwi, the collection is expected not only to be a Lebaran fashion, but also to remind people of the importance of solidarity and support for humanitarian struggles.

"Through the Noore collection, we hope to continue to remind humanity to continue to speak out and fight together to support Palestine," he said.

In addition to Fiorellya by Dwee, the third day of the Ramadan Rhapsody 2026 also featured various collections from a number of designers, such as Wina Sadikin, Kaia, Rryni House, Coenrad by Kunce Manduaspessy, and Cerita Naara.

Fashion Rhapsody Chairman Ariy Arka said each designer presented a different concept according to their respective characters. One of the interesting things is the collaboration between Cerita Naara and Abeey who present a couple's fashion collection for Raya 2026.

"The eight designers released different themes according to their respective characteristics. But the special thing this year is that Cerita Naara and Abeey collaborated to release the 2026 Raya couples outfit collection. We are still carrying the ethnic theme by adopting the Bali gringsing," said Ariy Arka.

To strengthen the ethnic feel, the details of the clothing are equipped with embroidery, stitching, and additional lace. The color choices used are dominated by earthy colors such as olive and light brown, so as to maintain the traditional touch in modern design.

Apart from fashion shows, the third day of Ramadan Rhapsody was also enlivened by musical performances from Swara Jakarta 80's and a talk show session with SFA titled "The New Face of Raya Style".

The Ramadan Rhapsody event itself is a collaboration between Rhapsody, APPMI, and Pakuwon Mall City Bekasi which will be held on March 4-29, 2026 with the theme "Sanctuary of Ramadan".

According to Ariy Arka, the theme depicts Ramadan as a moment of reflection and self-renewal.

"The Sanctuary of Ramadan can also be interpreted as a sacred space with faith, art, and togetherness intertwined in it," said Ariy Arka.
