Syamsul Auliya Rachman Regent and Cilacap Secretary of State Dikabarkan Jadi Tersangka KPK Usai Terjaring OTT
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named two suspects after the hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in the Cilacap Regency area, Central Java on Friday, March 13. This determination was carried out through an expose forum or trial at the level of the deputy level of enforcement and execution with the leadership.
"In today's expose, two people were named as suspects," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Saturday, March 14.
Budi did not elaborate on who the suspects in this case were. He only said that the announcement would be made through a press conference later in the afternoon.
However, based on the information collected, those who are suspects are Cilacap Regent Syamsul Aulia Rachman and Sadmoko Danardobi as the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Kabipaten Cilacap.
"For the parties who are designated as suspects, we will convey it at the press conference," he said.
Furthermore, in this silent operation, the KPK also secured hundreds of millions of rupiah. "For other evidence secured in this case, there are also documents and electronic evidence," said Budi.
Previously, the KPK held an OTT and secured 23 people in Cilacap Regency, Central Java on Friday, March 13. One of the people brought by the team in the field was Syamsul Auliya Rachman who is the Regent of Cilacap.
He was then transported to the KPK office along with 12 other people to undergo an intensive examination.
The OTT is suspected to be related to the provision for the execution of projects in Cilacap Regency, Central Java. The team found evidence in the form of hundreds of millions of rupiah by the KPK team during the enforcement activities.
