Wakasad Receives 584 TNI AD Junior Officers 2026, Focus on Cyber Threats

JAKARTA - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army (Wakasad) Lieutenant General TNI Muhammad Saleh Mustafa officially led the reception ceremony for the TNI AD Junior Officer (Paja) Abituren Dikmapa PK for the 2026 Fiscal Year. The ceremony, which took place at the Army Headquarters Field (Mabesad), Jakarta, on Friday (13/3/2026) is a symbol of the start of the service of young leaders in the TNI AD environment.

A total of 584 Junior Officers participated in this reception tradition. The Army continues to strengthen the organization by recruiting talents from various educational backgrounds, with the following details:

This acceptance marks the first step for young officers in holding the baton of leadership and safeguarding the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.

In a written mandate from the Chief of Staff of the Army (Kasad) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, read by the Deputy Chief of Staff, it was emphasized that the current global dynamics require the TNI AD to be more adaptive.

Kasad highlighted that the country's defense is now not only focused on symmetrical combat power, but must also be ready to face asymmetric threats and cyber disruptions.

"The complexity of global threats, ranging from unpredictable wars to geopolitical dynamics, places the TNI AD on a broader and multidimensional spectrum of assignments," said Wakasad when reading the mandate.

Innovation and Dedication in the Unit

At the end of the mandate, Kasad advised the Paja to be able to apply the knowledge gained during the Dikmapa PK education to solve problems in their respective units. The officers are expected to be able to cultivate a culture of innovation and provide a positive impact on society.

The ceremony was closed with a procession of taking the oath of officers represented by the representative of the Paja man and the Army Women's Corps (Kowad), as a promise of loyalty to the nation and state.
