Wamenpar asks the Regional Government to tighten supervision of entry tariffs and services in the Anyer area

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Tourism (Wamenpar) Ni Luh Enik Ermawati asked the local government (Pemda) to tighten supervision of entry rates and services in the Anyer Beach tourist area, Serang Regency, Banten, to prevent illegal collection practices (pungli) and "getok price" during the 2026 Lebaran holiday season.

This was emphasized by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nu Luh Enik Emawati, during a working visit to Florida Beach, Cinangka, Serang Regency, Friday, March 13, to ensure the readiness of this favorite tourist destination in the face of a surge in visitors.

"We want to ensure that there are no extortioners who are often a complaint. We ask for the attention of the provinces and regencies so that there is no excessive increase in tariffs, so that tourists really feel comfortable," he said, quoted by Antara.

This visit is a follow-up to the Circular Letter (SE) of the Minister of Tourism which instructs all local governments to monitor and prepare their respective areas ahead of the long holiday period of Lebaran and Nyepi Day.

The Minister of Tourism emphasized the importance of monitoring business actors and tourism managers to comply with the applicable price provisions. This is crucial considering that Anyer Beach is still a main destination for local and out-of-area tourists, especially from Jabodetabek.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Youth Sports and Tourism Office (Disporapar) of Serang Regency, Anas Dwi Satya, stated that his party had set a significant target for visits to support the regional tourism sector.

"Our annual visitation target is 3.6 million for 2026. Especially for the Lebaran holiday, hopefully there will be around 200 thousand to 300 thousand visitors who will travel to the Serang Regency area," said Anas.

The government hopes that with proper preparation and strict price supervision, the regional tourism sector can continue to grow and provide a positive impact on the local economy without burdening visitors.
