Minister of Transportation Officially Inaugurates the Lebaran Transportation Post, Ensuring the Homecoming Runs Smoothly

JAKARTA - Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi inaugurated the 2026 Integrated Lebaran Transportation Center Post.

This post is a national coordination center to monitor transportation operations and ensure the smooth mobility of the community during the Lebaran homecoming period.

Dudy said the post was used to monitor the operational conditions of transportation, accelerate coordination between agencies, and ensure that any dynamics that occurred in the field could be handled quickly and appropriately.

"In line with the direction of President Prabowo Subianto, the government is committed to ensuring that all transportation facilities and public services during the homecoming period can run well through strong coordination between ministries, regional governments, SOEs, private companies, and all transportation stakeholders," said Dudy in a press conference, in Jakarta, Friday, March 14.

In addition to forming a post for supervision, monitoring, and evaluation down to the regional level, the Ministry of Transportation has also prepared a number of policies to regulate mobility in various modes of transportation.

Among them, ensuring the readiness of transportation facilities and infrastructure, limiting the operation of certain transportation ahead of the peak of the homecoming and return flow, and preparing a reserve of transportation facilities as needed in the field.

The government also carried out ramp checks to ensure the operational safety of vehicles, as well as preparing traffic engineering with the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia, the Indonesian National Army, local governments, and other related parties.

In addition, the government also implemented a policy of reducing air ticket prices and toll rate discounts to help people during the homecoming period.

The Ministry of Transportation also provides a free homecoming program, carries out massive socialization to officers and the public regarding the policy of providing transportation services, aspects of safety and security of travel, and strengthening coordination with stakeholders.

Dudy also said the success of the Lebaran transportation was not only determined by government policies, but also by the synergy, discipline, and integrity of all parties involved.

"And last but not least, I ask all officers at the post and in the field to always be ready to face various transportation dynamics, work with dedication, patience, and prioritize safety as the main priority," said Dudy.

The 2026 Central Integrated Eid Transportation Post will operate from March 13 to 30, 2026, involving various ministries, institutions, and transportation operators.

Among them are the National Police Traffic Directorate, Basarnas, BMKG, BNPB, KNKT, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China, PT Pelindo (Persero), PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (PELNI), and PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia.

In addition to the central post, the government also formed service posts and monitoring posts in various areas with a total of 1,560 transport network nodes.

The details consist of 264 sea transport node points, 177 terminals consisting of 115 A-type terminals and 62 B-type terminals, 248 crossing transport node points, 472 railway transport node points, 257 air transport node points, as well as monitoring networks at toll gates and arterial roads.
