KPK Finds Cash During OTT Cilacap Regent
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there was a finding of money during a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in the Cilacap Regency area, Central Java today, March 13.
KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the money was found in the form of rupiah notes.
"The goods seized in this case were caught in the form of cash," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, March 13.
"For the number, we will update again," he continued.
Furthermore, Budi said that the silent operation managed to secure 27 people including Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman. Then, there are also state civil servants (ASN) to the private sector.
The silent operation is suspected to be related to bribery.
"Regarding today's closed investigation activities in the Cilacap area, there is suspected receipt by the regent's party related to projects in Cilacap Regency," he said.
Currently, the KPK is calling dozens of people who have been secured are being intensively investigated. Furthermore, from this examination, the team will determine who will be brought to Jakarta for further examination.
Then, the anti-corruption commission has 1x24 hours to determine the suspects in this case. The announcement of the suspects and the construction of the case will be conveyed through a press conference.
