KPK Questions Cilacap Regent's OTT: Alleged Receipt of Project Bribe
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that ensnared Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman regarding alleged bribes for project management.
The silent operation was carried out today, March 13. A total of 27 people have been secured by officers in the field.
"Regarding today's closed investigation activities in the Cilacap area, there is an alleged receipt made by the regent regarding projects in Cilacap Regency," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, March 13.
Budi further said that dozens of people who were secured were still being intensively examined. In addition to Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman, who was taken along were state civil servants (ASN) and private parties.
After an intensive examination is carried out, the team will determine which party will be taken to the anti-corruption commission office.
In this silent operation, the KPK also found evidence. However, Budi has not detailed the amount.
"The evidence that was secured in this case was caught in the form of cash. The amount will be updated later," he concluded.
