Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026, BTN prepares Rp23.18 trillion in cash

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) has prepared cash of Rp23.18 trillion to ensure the adequacy of funding needs for the community and customers during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr period.

The cash fund was prepared from March 13 to March 25, 2026, as the economic activity and community mobility increased ahead of Eid.

BTN Corporate Secretary Ramon Armando said the provision of cash was carried out to ensure that all the needs of people's transactions could be met during the Ramadan period until Eid al-Fitr.

"We are trying to ensure the availability of cash for customers during the Ramadan and Idulfitri period. BTN has prepared adequate liquidity so that the community's transaction needs can continue to be served optimally," he said in a statement, Friday, March 13, 2026.

Of the total cash funds prepared, BTN allocated around IDR 14.55 trillion or 63 percent for cash needs at all BTN outlets spread across various regions in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, around IDR 8.63 trillion or 37 percent of the total funds will be used to fill BTN ATM and CRM machines spread across various regions.

He added that BTN also increased the availability of liquidity at branch offices much larger than normal conditions to anticipate an increase in cash needs during the Lebaran period.

According to Ramon, this step was taken in line with the increasing mobility of the community and consumption activities during Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr, which generally also encourages the need for cash in the community.

In addition to ensuring the availability of cash funds, Ramon added that BTN also continues to encourage customers to utilize various digital transaction services through the bale by BTN super app so that financial transactions can be carried out more easily, quickly, and safely anytime and anywhere.

"BTN ensures that all banking service infrastructure, both branch networks, ATMs, and digital channels, continue to operate optimally to support customer transaction convenience during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period this year," said Ramon.
