LPS Starts the Payment Process for PT BPR Koperindo Customer Claims up to IDR 14.19 Billion
JAKARTA - The Deposit Insurance Agency has started the first phase of payment of claims for deposits of customers of the People's Economic Bank (BPR) Koperindo located at Wisma Techking 2, Jl. A.M. Sangaji No. 243, RT. 3/RW. 4 10130 Petojo Utara, Central Jakarta.
The process of paying the claims of customer deposits began exactly 4 days after BPR Koperindo revoked its business license on March 9, 2026.
"This is a form of strengthening customer confidence in the banking system, LPS prioritizes the speed and ease of the customer deposit claim process," said Pgs Acting Director of the Secretariat Group, Nur Budiantoro, Friday, March 13.
Before the payment process began, LPS first conducted reconciliation and verification to determine the status of customer deposits in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 24 of 2004 concerning LPS (LPS Law) as last amended by Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (UU P2SK).
This reconciliation and verification process will be completed by LPS within 90 working days from the revocation of the BPR Koperindo business license or until July 29, 2026.
LPS has announced the names of customers whose savings are declared to be payable on the announcement board at the BPR Koperindo Office. Customers can also start checking their savings status independently through the website lps.go.id then click the LPS application menu.
"Furthermore, customers only need to choose the name of the liquidated bank and then fill in the account number in the deposit status sub menu in the deposit menu," he continued.
If based on the results of the check, the status of the customer's account is eligible for payment, the customer can go to the Roxy Mas Business Center, Block B1, Jl. K.H. Hasyim Ashari No. 1-2, RW. 8, Cideng, Gambir, Central Jakarta.
Customers only need to bring the required completeness documents and take a queue number.
The Bank of Payer will assist customers during the entire payment claim process.

To ensure the smooth payment process for BPR Koperindo's savings claims, LPS has placed funds of IDR 14.19 billion at the Paying Bank.
"The funds will then be given to 166 customers whose savings have been declared eligible for payment in this Phase I Payment," said Budi.
