Bogor Regency Handles 24,000 Uninhabitable Houses Around Prabowo's Private House

Bogor - The Bogor Regency Government (Pmekab) targets that all unlivable houses (RTLH) around the residence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto can be completed in the next two years.

Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto said the Babakanmadang area was one of the priorities for accelerating the RTLH improvement program, because the number was relatively less than other areas in Bogor Regency.

"For Babakanmadang, we project that it can be completed in 2026-2027, in the next two years, because the number is less than a thousand houses per district," said Rudy Susmanto in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, West Java, Friday.

According to Rudy, the acceleration is part of the Bogor Regency Government's large program in completing approximately 24,000 uninhabitable houses that are recorded throughout the district.

He explained that the handling of RTLH was carried out gradually through collaboration between various parties, ranging from the central government, local governments, to the private sector and non-governmental organizations.

In 2026, the Bogor Regency Government received support from the central government through the Ministry of Housing for the construction or repair of around 4,000 units of houses.

In addition, the local government also allocated a budget from the Bogor Regency APBD for handling 2,750 units of uninhabitable houses in the same year.

The program is also strengthened through private sector support. One of them is assistance from Astra which is estimated to reach around 1,000 units of houses, as well as contributions from a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other companies.

"Alhamdulillah, we in 2026 can get assistance from the Ministry of Housing as many as 4,000 units. From the Bogor Regency APBD we have budgeted 2,750 units, then there is Astra assistance of around 1,000 units, so a total of around 7,750 units will be handled in 2026," he said.

Rudy said that in 2025, the local government together with the central government had also handled around 4,000 to almost 5,000 uninhabitable houses.

With the addition of the program in 2026 which is estimated to reach around 8,000 units, the local government is optimistic that the number of remaining RTLH can be significantly reduced in the coming years.

The Bogor Regency Government targets that all uninhabitable houses that are recorded in the area can be completed gradually by 2028 through collaboration with various parties.

"We are optimistic that in the next two to three years, the handling of uninhabitable houses in Bogor Regency can be completed completely," said Rudy.
