KAI Deploys Hundreds of LRT Jabodebek Workers, Ready to Serve Users during Eid Transportation 2026

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) officially opened the 2026/1447 H Eid Transportation Post to ensure the operational readiness and service of the Jabodebek LRT during the Eid homecoming and return period.

The Jabodebek LRT Eid Transportation Post will last for 16 days, from March 13 to 28, 2026. The opening of the post was marked by a Troop Title Apel held in the yard of the Jabodebek LRT Division office, Friday (13/3), and was led by Executive Vice President of Jabodebek LRT Suryawan Putra Hia.

In his instructions, Suryawan emphasized that the Lebaran Transportation period is an important period for companies in ensuring that public transportation services continue to run optimally in the midst of increasing community mobility.

"The train is one of the modes of transportation that is very relied on by the public, especially during the Lebaran Transportation period. Therefore, the operational reliability and readiness of the Jabodebek LRT service are important factors in supporting the smooth mobility of the community," he said.

During the 2026 Lebaran Transportation period, KAI prepared 26 trainsets and 1 LRT Jabodebek backup trainset. On weekdays (weekdays), KAI will operate 430 LRT Jabodebek trips.

Meanwhile, on national holidays/shared holidays and weekends (weekend) will operate 270 LRT Jabodebek trips. In terms of service, it will be strengthened by preparing 243 frontline officers, consisting of 119 Passenger Service and 124 Ticketing Officers.

From the security aspect, it was also strengthened by involving 527 security personnel, consisting of 499 internal officers (Polsuska and Security) and 28 external personnel from the TNI and Polri elements.

"The same is true for office administration workers, who will also carry out the 2026 Lebaran Transportation post at the station, so that they can support station officers to serve LRT Jabodebek users," he added.

LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager Radhitya Mardika said that these various steps were taken to ensure that the public can enjoy safe and comfortable transportation services during the Lebaran Transportation period.

"LRT Jabodebek continues to make various preparations in a comprehensive manner, both in terms of operations, services, and security, so that users can enjoy safe, secure, comfortable, and timely travel," said Radhitya.

KAI hopes that through this readiness, the Jabodebek LRT can continue to be one of the reliable public transportation options in supporting community mobility during the Lebaran homecoming and return flow.
