Previously, the UNM Campus on Jalan Andi Pangeran Pettarani was attacked by hundreds of online taxi drivers (ojol) on Thursday, (5/3) evening. The attack on the ojol driver was triggered by the alleged beating of an ojol who was blocked from accessing the road when students blocked the road during the action to demand police reform.
As a result of the attack, the campus facilities were vandalized by the masses from ojol. Fortunately, the police from Sabhara Polrestabes Makassar together with the Police Chief arrived at the location to calm their actions.
So far, no official statement has been issued from the UNM Civitas Akademika regarding a series of incidents on campus.
