JAKARTA - RajaMICE organizers launched the 21st Indonesia Travel Fair (ITF) 2026 agenda which will be held on May 28 - 31, 2026 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). This activity will be held in conjunction with the 7th Indonesia Wellness and Health Tourism Expo (IWHTE) 2026.

The launch of the event was carried out in a launching activity and breaking the fast together at the Manhattan Hotel Jakarta, Monday, March 9, 2026. The activity was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Health, the Indonesian Health Tourism Society (IHTS), the Association of The Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA), and the Board of Airline Representative in Indonesia (Barindo).

A number of tourism and health industry figures were also present at the launch, including the General Chairman of the Indonesia Health Tourism Society Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Secretary General of IHTS Panca R. Sarungu, Deputy for Development of Event Organizers of the Ministry of Tourism Vinsensius Jemadu, and representatives of the Ministry of Health.

In his presentation, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno touched on global geopolitical dynamics which were considered to be able to affect the pattern of world tourism travel.

"Global geopolitical dynamics, including the potential impact of the crisis in the Gulf region, are expected to affect the pattern of world tourism travel, ranging from changes in flight routes, destination preferences, to international travelers' travel strategies," said Sandiaga.

He assessed that activities such as the Indonesia Travel Fair can be a space for industry players to adapt to these changes.

"This event is a platform for collaboration and adaptation for national tourism industry players, as well as strengthening Indonesia's competitiveness as a tourist and health destination in the Asian region," he said.

Chairman of RajaMICE Panca Rudolf Sarungu said the exhibition would present various travel offers from airlines and tourism industry players. According to him, this activity is not only a promotional event but is also aimed at encouraging direct transactions between exhibition participants and visitors.

"This exhibition is designed to provide branding opportunities as well as encourage direct transactions between exhibitors and visitors so that sales can be generated," said Panca.

He added that the activity will also be supported by banking partners who provide various payment methods for visitors and exhibition participants.

On the same occasion, the organizer opened the Early Bird Booth Booking program which was held for the first time online using a system from the IVENT Event Management System.

Director of IVENT.ID Windy Agustian said the system allows participants to choose and order booths directly.

"Through this digital system, participants can choose, order, and make booth payments in real time with the first come first serve mechanism," he said.

The ITF 2026 and IWHTE 2026 activities are targeted to be one of the agendas for meetings of the tourism and health tourism industries in Indonesia.

"ITF 2026 and IWHTE 2026 will be an important momentum in strengthening Indonesia's position as a leading destination for tourism and health tourism at the regional and global levels," he concluded.
