Mudik Lebaran 2026, Bogor Residents Can Drop Off Vehicles at Police Station
BOGOR - The Bogor City Police (Polresta) opened a vehicle storage service for residents who will return home during Lebaran 2026. This service is provided at the police station as part of security during the implementation of Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026.
Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Rio Wahyu Anggoro said people who left Bogor City for homecoming could leave their motor vehicles at the police station to be safer while they were away.
"For our brothers and sisters who go home by plane, sea, or train, please leave their vehicles at the police station," said Rio, Thursday, March 12.
According to him, vehicle storage services are not only available at the level of the Police, but also at all Polsek offices in the Bogor City Police.
He emphasized that all police officers in his area were required to accept the custody of vehicles belonging to residents who returned to their hometowns.
"The police and all the police stations in my ranks are obliged to accept the custody of motor vehicles left by their owners to return to their areas," said Rio.
Rio explained that the requirements for vehicle storage were quite simple. Residents only need to bring their identification cards (KTP) and vehicle number plate (STNK) when storing vehicles.
The same document must also be shown again when the owner picks up the vehicle after returning from homecoming.
"The requirements are easy, just bring your ID card and vehicle registration. When you take it back, bring the ID card and vehicle registration so that there is no mistake," he said.
He ensured that the vehicle storage service was provided free of charge without any charge.
"What is certain is that this custody service is free. It must be free," said Rio.
In addition to opening a vehicle storage service, the Bogor City Police will also increase security patrols to anticipate empty houses left by travelers during the Lebaran holiday.
Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 in Bogor City alone involves around 800 joint personnel consisting of 330 police personnel, 200 TNI personnel, and support from various institutions such as the Transportation Office, Health Office, and the Police Pamong Praja Unit.
Through this operation, the police hope that the security situation and public order will remain maintained during the Lebaran homecoming and return period in Bogor City.
