Sukses Lancar Rejeki Meriahkan Ramadan and Idul Fitri through EP Perang Sarung Gajah Moshing

JAKARTA - The Bekasi-based punk unit, Sukses Lancar Rejeki, has again colored the Indonesian music scene by launching a mini album or extended play (EP) titled Perang Sarung Gajah Moshing.

This work was released as a form of their creative commitment to enliven the holy month of Ramadan, amid the crowded school schedule and stage activities that began to skyrocket.

Taking inspiration from the phenomenon of adolescent subcultures during the fasting month, the album's title is a joke from a popular sarung brand that is often used in the tradition of sarung war after the morning prayer.

"We want to capture the spirit of the young people who are restless, like the sweat that flows during the sarung war even though they are thirsty and hungry," Mahes (vocals, guitar) from Sukses Lancar Rejeki in his statement, Thursday, March 12.

"This is a symbol of the physical endurance and spiritual joy we experience ourselves," Mahes added.

Under the auspices of the major label, this EP presents seven tracks that summarize the emotional cycle during Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr.

All production processes are carried out independently at Studimo JM with a touch of broad genre exploration.

One of the featured songs, "Lebaran, So Far Away", portrays the social reality of the warmth of family gatherings and the dynamics of sharing the Hari Raya Allowance (THR) which is an iconic moment in Indonesian home kitchens.

In addition to the energetic feel, the group also inserts a moral message through the song titled "Mokel", which bluntly invites listeners to stay away from the behavior of canceling fasting before its time as a form of integrity of worship. Hopefully, this song can become a mandatory anthem every time Ramadan arrives.

Another emotional side is also expressed in the song "Kembali", which is a special tribute to the figure of Kakek (Enpa), who is an inspirator and songwriter for the personnel.

The story of the homecoming struggle also did not escape their narrative through the song "Pulang Kampung", which depicts Mahes' deep longing to return to Palembang, Bumbum (drums) to Bawean, and Jalil (bass) to Brebes.

Not only available on digital platforms, Sukses Lancar Rejeki also offers a physical release of the album in the form of a CD and exclusive merchandise, which can be obtained through the demajors distribution network throughout Indonesia.
